Ann Filmer loves to sing in bands and write stories. Currently she sings in Vinto Van Go and writes and sings in Mrs Smith and the Present with her drummer husband Barry Bennett
Filmer came to Chicago to dance. She broke her foot and started directing plays. She founded The Aardvark, Estrogen Fest and 16th Street Theater which became renowned for new work. Lately you can find her singing in Chicago’s music scene and telling stories around town.
